MarketingWorks, Inc., Appoints Jim McVety as Vice President of Business Development

MarketingWorks, the education industry’s foremost full-service sales and marketing firms, is proud to announce the promotion of Jim McVety to Vice President of Business Development.  In less than a year, Jim has been integral in closing over 60 contracts with companies across the education industry.

“Jim’s contributions to MarketingWorks stem from a deep commitment to service, a profound knowledge of the education business, and a host of industry contacts. His dynamic style and market knowledge have helped propel MarketingWorks forward in 2006, and I am thrilled to have him as part of our senior management team,” said Gerry Bogatz, President and Founder.

Prior to joining MarketingWorks, Jim was the Deputy Director of Programs in Professional Education and The Principals’ Center at Harvard Graduate School of Education, Cambridge Massachusetts. As Deputy Director, Jim successfully managed the day-to-day operations for a $4M nonprofit division focused on professional development events for K-12 and higher education educators and administrators. He has also held management, business development and product management positions with EduCatalyst, Inc., Eduventures, Inc., and HighWired, Inc. During his tenure at Eduventures, Jim lead research studies and consulting engagements across a variety of K-12 and postsecondary markets, and is regularly called on by private and public companies to comment on market trends, business development strategies, and marketing tactics.
